This little boy. Danarion….
Is the sweetest. My fondest memories spent in Jacksonville are with him playing on the playground. He wants to grow up and be a nurse to help people…. :) We only spent two afternoons at the park where he went to after school, but all of us college kids were impacted so much. Its like we all had our token kid that showed us their heart in some way. I know that sounds like a load of bull but its true. They just came to us with 100% vulnerability and wanted hugs and to talk and to play. I know that sounds like all kids and maybe it is but most of these kids have had difficult lives at their really young ages, and it amazes me that they can still be open to people.
I know this is wishful thinking but I hope someday I see him again and tell him more about becoming an RN and maybe even bless his life with money or some kind of a resource to help him with his future. I pray for him and all kids like him that need support. I’m going to write him a letter soon & its going to be great.
